Act 1 Scene 1

I have a long journey ahead of me- as each day passes I get closer to completing my debut project. I sit in awe of the small goals that I've already surpassed and ponder the larger ones I've yet to tackle. I know in my heart that it's already done, I see the story as already being written. I'm just at page 1... Those w...ho support I thank you, Those who doubt I pity you... Midas "Return Of The King" ...Coming soon

King Midas, of Greek mythology, is remembered for having the “Golden Touch,” literally making everything he came in contact with turn to gold. Producer Midas, of Baltimore, MD, is also known for the same feat, except he won’t be giving back the gift. In fact, he plans on enhancing his touch from gold to platinum. A student of music from day one, Midas picked up piano at age four, saxophone at twelve, and began his initial music productions in high school. On the first track he produced, he says the crowd it drew “went crazy.” Clearly, the golden touch was in his veins. Nowadays, he uses his gift to bang out hits for the Sluggerz label he’s resident producer for. So what does a Midas track sound like? “John Williams,” he says. “I like lush, full sounding tracks, like how his scores are.” Quite a unique inspiration for a hip hop producer. Makes sense that he does R&B and classical music as well. Yes, classical. Check out “Select” and you’ll get the idea. When’s the last time you heard beautiful orchestration over drums that bang you over the head? Exactly. And before you start making comparisons, let me add: dude doesn’t need to sample to make it happen either. Midas is a true musician in every sense of the word (he routinely performs gigs with his saxophone as well). So, if you’re ready to be “touched,” remember this: “preparation is important. I don’t like to rush things, because I want everything to be important for the track.” Visit http://www.sluggerz.com to check out some of Midas' work.
